Conducting the first session: September 3rd, 2018

Council of Representatives had held their first session on September 3rd, 2018 of the first legislative term for the first legislative year. The fourth cycle was under the chairmanship of Mr. Muhammad-Ali Zainy, the Senior President, in the presence of (297) deputy. The article No.(55) of the Iraqi Constitution has not been implemented, which states on “ The Council of Representatives shall elect in the first session a president then a first deputy then a second deputy by an absolute majority of a number of the council’s members by direct secret election”. The session was not adjourned.
