The deputy Muhammad al-Halbousi had won after completing the counting process of the secretive voting. He obtained a 169 vote. This number of votes had qualified him to take over the council as a representative of the absolute majority (half+one) of a number of the council members 329 deputy, through his first resumed session on September 15th,2018.a
