The Council of Representatives held on 13/12/2012 the fortieth session of the first legislative term for the third year under chairmanship of Osama Al-Nujaifi, the chairman of the Council of Representatives. The session included the following:

 

- Presence 190 members.

- The Council voted on the proposed law of the fourth amendment for the elections law of the councils of provinces and districts and sub-districts No.(36) for the year 2008 as amended, submitted by the legal committee.

- Voting on the draft law on accession of the Republic of Iraq to the convention on distinction of plastic explosives in order to detect it for the year 1991, submitted by the committees of foreign relations, security and defense and services and construction.

- Voting on the draft law on accession of the Republic of Iraq to the convention on physical protection for the nuclear materials, submitted by the committees of foreign relations and security and defense.

- Voting on the draft law on accession of the Republic of Iraq to the international convention on suppression of terrorist bombings, submitted by the committees of foreign relations and security and defense.

- Voting on the draft law on ratification of the convention on economic and technical cooperation between the Government of Republic of Iraq and the Government of the United States of America, submitted by the committees of foreign relations and economy and investment.

- Voting on the draft law on ratification of the convention on investment incentives between the Government of Republic of Iraq and the Government of the United States of America, submitted by the committees of foreign relations and economy and investment.

- Voting on the draft law on ratification of the convention on determination of trade and investment fields between the Government of Republic of Iraq and the Government of the United States of America, submitted by the committees of foreign relations and economy and investment.

- Voting on the draft law on ratification of the memorandum of understanding in the field of reform support (building the abilities of the agricultural sector) between the Government of Republic of Iraq and the Government of the United States of America, submitted by the committees of foreign relations and economy and investment.

- The Presidency decided to postpone voting on the draft law of treaties conclusion, submitted by the committee of foreign relations.

- The second reading of the proposed law of the first amendment for the law of Ministry of Industry and Minerals, submitted by the committee of economy and investment.

- The second reading of the draft law of the first amendment for the law of antiquities and heritage No.(55) for the year 2002, submitted by the committee of tourism and antiquities.

- The second reading of the draft law on ratification of the convention on establishment of the International Academy for anti-corruption as an international organization, submitted by the committees of integrity, foreign relations and legal.

- The Council resumed the discussion of the draft law of the federal budget for the Republic of Iraq for the financial year 2013, submitted by the committees of finance and economy and investment.

 

The session was adjourned until Saturday 15/12/2012.
