The Council of Representatives held on 3/4/2013 the seventeenth session of the second legislative term for the third year under chairmanship of Osama Al-Nujaifi, the Speaker of Council of Representatives. The session included the following:
- Presence 188 members.
- The committee of martyrs and political prisoners read a statement in which it condemned the crime of Faili Kurds displacement by Saddam's buried regime indicating that it was displaced more than 250 thousand citizens after dropping the nationality by the defunct regime and seizing their properties and their villages. The Council of Representatives voted to consider the issue of Faili Kurds as a genocide which requires accelerating to compensate them for what they have suffered and returning their properties through the Property Claims Commission.
- The second reading of the draft law of the first amendment for the Coalition Provisional Authority Order No.(87) of 2004, regarding the Administrative Court concerning the complaints affairs and disputes arising on granting of contracts by the government submitted by the committees of legal, economy and investment, services and construction.
- The second reading of the draft law of official holidays submitted by the committees of endowments and religious affairs, culture and media, and legal.
- The second reading of the draft law of forensic medicine submitted by the committee of health and environment.
- The second reading of the draft law of the fifth amendment for the law of State Consultative Council No.(65) of 1979, submitted by the legal committee.
