The Council of Representatives held on 6/4/2013 the eighteenth session of the second legislative term for the third year under chairmanship of Osama Al-Nujaifi, the Speaker of Council of Representatives. The session included the following:
- Presence 169 members.
- The Presidency decided to postpone voting on the validity of the membership of MP (Thamer Ibrahim Zahir) submitted by the legal committee for the lack of two-third of number of MPs for voting.
- The first reading of the draft law to amend the law of seizing of the smuggled money and prohibited for trading in the local markets No.(18) of 2008, submitted by the committees of finance and legal.
- The first reading of the draft law of the first amendment for the law of service and military retirement No.(3) of 2010, submitted by the committees of legal, security and defense, and finance.
- The first reading of the draft law of the eighth amendment for the law of the Ministry of High Education and Scientific Research No.(40) of 1988, submitted by the committee of high education.
- The first reading of the draft law of the Martyrs Foundation submitted by the committee of martyrs, victims and political prisoners.
- The first reading of the draft law of University of Defense for Military Studies submitted by the committees of security and defense, and legal.
- The second reading of the draft law of doctors protection submitted by the committee of health and environment.
- The second reading of the draft law of Ministry of Foreign Affairs submitted by the committee of foreign relations and to be discussed at a later session.
The session was adjourned until Monday 8/4/2013.
