The House of Representatives held on (9/24/2020) its eighth session of the first legislative term for the third year of the fourth electoral cycle headed by Mr. Muhammad al-Halbousi and attended by (194) deputies, and the session included:
-Voting on the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Agreement on Safety and Health in Agriculture. No. (184) for the year 2001 submitted by the committees on foreign relations, agriculture, water, marshes, health and the environment
-The Council resumed voting on the articles of the proposed health insurance law, to be completed after. Accessing the government's observations on some provisions of the law.
-Voting on the form of a representative decision submitted by the Media, Communications and Legal Committees, and it stipulated: "For the purpose of maximizing the annual revenues of the general budget, it was decided to oblige the government to establish a national joint stock company for telecommunications and to grant it a license for mobile cellular services, and to oblige the Ministry of Communications and the Media Commission to provide the financial, legal and technical requirements necessary for its establishment, each according to its competence.
- Postponing the vote on the proposed law to amend the law of Samarra, the capital of Iraq for the Islamic civilization, and submitted. From the Culture, Tourism and Antiquities Committee until the articles of the law have matured.
-Voting on the Nursing Syndicate bill submitted by the Civil Society and Health Institutions Committees. And the environment
-The second reading of the draft law ratifying an agreement regarding the establishment of the Global Drylands Alliance and submitted. From the Foreign Relations, Agriculture, Water and Marsh Committee Committees.
-The first reading of the proposed law of the third amendment to the Law of Accountants and Auditors Association No. (185) for the year. 1969 submitted by the Finance Committee ,.
- The second reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Asian Investment Bank’s agreement to build. Infrastructure and submitted by the Foreign Relations, Economy and Investment Committees.
-The second reading of the draft law on freedom of expression of opinion, assembly and peaceful demonstration submitted by committees. Human rights, security, defense, legal, culture, tourism, antiquities, endowments and religious affairs.
-The second reading of the proposed law on national sports federations submitted by the Youth and Sports Committee.
