The House of Representatives held on (10/27/2020) its sixteenth session of the first legislative term for the third year, the fourth electoral cycle headed by Mr. Hassan Al-Kaabi and the presence of (170) deputies, and the session included:
- To vote on the draft law ratifying the agreement to avoid double taxation and prevent evasion from paying taxes on income and public capital between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the Hungarian government submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
- Voting on a draft law ratifying an agreement regarding the establishment of the Global Drylands Alliance submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations.
- Voting on a bill for the Republic of Iraq’s accession to the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes - Helsinki 1992 submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
- To vote on the proposal to amend the Police College Law No. (37) for the year 2000 submitted by the Security and Defense Committee.
One part of the session was addressed by Dr. Bashir Al-Haddad, First Deputy Speaker.
- The second reading of the draft law ratifying the amendments made in 1999 and 2003 to the agreement establishing the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) signed in Stockholm in 1967 and submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations.
- The second readers of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to a protocol on preparedness, response and cooperation in the field of causing pollution with dangerous and harmful substances for the year 2000 submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations.
- The second reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the International Convention on Container Safety for the year 1972 submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations.
- The second reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the International Hydrographic Organization Convention, as amended and submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
- The first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the International Convention on the control of ship systems resistant to sticking and harmful effects of 2001 submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations.
- The first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Protocol for the Suppression of Unlawful Acts directed against the safety of fixed platforms located on the Continental Shelf for the year 1988 and submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations.
- The first reading of the draft law ratifying the agreement to avoid double taxation in relation to taxes imposed on income and the prevention of tax evasion between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
- The first reading of the draft law amending the law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the International Convention on Road Traffic for the year 1968 and the European Agreement supplementing it for the year 2006 No. (30) for the year 2015 submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations.
- The first reading of the proposed law of the authority of FAO submitted by the Committee on Economy and Investment.
- The first reading of the proposal of the First Amendment Law of the Inmates and Depositors Reform Law No. (14) of 2018 submitted by the Human Rights Committee.
- The session was adjourned to Wednesday 10/28/2020 at five in the evening
