On (11/11/2020), the House of Representatives held its twenty-first session of the first legislative term for the third year, the fourth electoral cycle headed by Mr. Muhammad al-Halbousi and the presence of (169) deputies, and the session included:
- The President of the Council directed the General Secretariat to address the governmental institutions that did not comply with the answer to the parliamentary question directed by the ladies and gentlemen of representatives, and to take legal measures against the institutions in the event that they were not answered.
Voting on the Air Force College bill submitted by the Security and Defense Committee.
- The second reading of the draft law of the Council of Ministers and Ministries submitted by the Legal Committee.
First Deputy Hassan Al Kaabi presided over part of the session.
- Focusing the interventions of the ladies and gentlemen on the demand to reconsider the draft law and formulate its provisions in a manner that does not conflict with the parliamentary system and robs it of its powers guaranteed by the constitution, stressing the need to preserve the principle of separation between the work of the authorities and not to grant the executive authority and the Prime Minister has powers other than the constitution in addition to Its provisions violate the laws of structuring ministries and government agencies.
- The first directing to the Speaker of Parliament, Mr. Hassan Al-Kaabi, the General Secretariat of the House of Representatives, to direct a request to host the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to discuss expanding the study seats for postgraduate students and other affairs of the ministry during the coming sessions.
Second Deputy Bashir Al-Haddad presided over part of the session.
- The second reading of the draft law of Yazidi female survivors submitted by the Women, Family, Childhood, Martyrs, Victims and Political Prisoners Committee.
- The interventions of the ladies and gentlemen of the representatives that focused on, asking the Ministry of Culture to promote and announce the scale of the crimes that have befallen Yazidi women, as well as a parliamentary call to include all Iraqi women from the rest of the components who have been affected by the crimes of the terrorist organization ISIS in addition to the proposal to change the name of the law and make it comprehensive.
