On (12/9/2020), the House of Representatives held its twenty-seventh session of the first legislative term for the third year, the fourth electoral cycle headed by Mr. Muhammad al-Halbousi, and the session included:
MP Hisham Al-Suhail recited a statement expressing his astonishment at the position of the Ministry of Transport regarding referring the Faw Grand Port project to new companies, expressing the parliament’s concern about changing the ministry’s rapid and sudden stance towards its commitment to completing the project and stating the reasons for obstructing the vital and strategic project and benefiting from this delay.
- The President of the Council directed that the Minister of Transport and a representative of the Ministry of Finance be hosted under the dome of the House of Representatives next week to discuss the delay in establishing the Faw Port project.
- The first reading of the proposed law for the first amendment of the Foreigners Residence Law No. (76) of 2017 submitted by the Committee on Labor, Social Affairs, Immigration and the Displaced.
- The first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the international agreement regarding the establishment of an international fund for compensation for oil pollution damages for the year 1992 submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations.
- The first reading of the bill on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) for the year 1970, submitted by the Committee on Foreign Relations.

- The second reading of the draft Law of the Second Amendment to the Veterinary Medical Graduation Law No. 136 of 1980 submitted by the Health, Environment, Agriculture, Water and Marsh Committees.
