On (27/1/2024), the House of Representatives held its second session of the first legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Speaker Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (180) Representatives , and the session included:

 -Voting on postponing the paragraph of electing the Speaker of the House of Representatives until the cases submitted to the Federal Court are decided.

-Voting on the draft law on compensation for immunodeficiency patients submitted by the Health and Environment Committee.

-Postponing the vote on the draft law on the lease of agricultural land, submitted by the Committee on Agriculture, Water and Marshes at the request of 60 Representatives .

-First reading of the draft law on the ratification of the Air Transport Services Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Syrian Arab Republic, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

-First reading of the draft law ratifying the Agreement on Mutual Exemption from Visa Requirements for Holders of Diplomatic Passports between the Government of Iraq and the Government of South Korea, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

Part of the session was chaired by Dr. Shakhwan Abdullah, Vice-Speaker of the House ,

-Second reading of the draft law on the ratification by the Republic of Iraq of the Arab Protocol to Prevent and Combat Trafficking in persons , Especially Women and Children, supplementing the Arab Convention against Transnational Organized Crime, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

-The second reading of the draft law amending the first law of the Iraqi Housing Fund Law No. (32) of 2011, submitted by the Services and Reconstruction Committee.

-The Presidency of the House set next Tuesday as a date for the interrogation of the head of the Iraqi Media Network after fulfilling all the legal conditions

After that, it was decided to adjourn the session to next Monday
