 On (24/3/2024) , the House of Representatives held its fifteenth session of the first legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of First  Vice-Speaker  Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (168)  Representatives , and the session included:

 

-The Chairman of the Committee of Martyrs, Victims and Political Prisoners read a statement on the occasion of the anniversary of the start of the Sadrist uprising on March 17, 1999, following the martyrdom of His Eminence the Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Muhammad Sadiq al-Sadr at the hands of the forces of injustice and tyranny, headed by the  buried  tyrant and his executioner, pointing out that the uprising represented the most wonderful pages of heroism and revealed the courage of the Iraqi people, adding that the Sadrist uprising came out in the face of the Baath dictatorial clique and shook the thrones of the destructive Baathist regime.

-Postponing the vote on the draft law amending the Fourth Amendment to the Industrial Investment Law for the Private and Mixed Sectors No. 20 of 1998, submitted by the Investment and Development Committees and the Economy, Industry and Trade.

-Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi instructed the members of the House to reconsider some articles of the Industrial Investment Law for the private and mixed sectors and amend them for a vote in the coming sessions.

-Representatives demanded the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate the statements of Representatives Muthanna al-Samarrai in which he insulted Anbar province.

-First reading of the draft law amending the second law on the Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah No. 23 of 2005, submitted by the Endowments and Religious and Legal Affairs Committees.

-Postponing the first reading of the proposed law on the first amendment to the House of Representatives Law and its formations No. (13)  of 2018 submitted by the Legal Committee.

-Second reading of the proposed law amending the first law on human organ transplantation and prevention of trafficking in human organs No. (11)  of 2016 submitted by the Health and Environment Committee.

-The interventions of the ladies and gentlemen of the Representatives focused on the demand that the State grant financial support to the donor or grant him a piece of land to prevent and limit the trafficking of human organs, and the proposal to include the National Security Service and the Ministry of the Interior among the formations concerned with law enforcement instead of the intelligence service, in addition to demanding the development of the infrastructure of health facilities specialized in organ transplantation and the modernization of their technical systems.

 

Then it was decided to adjourn the session until tomorrow, Monday
