On (20/7/2024), the House of Representatives held its first session of the second legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle, headed by the vice speaker, Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, in the presence of (171) representative, and the session included:
-The President of the house recalled the advent of the new Hijri year and the incident of the tenth of the month of Muharram with the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, calling for inspiration and lessons from the revolution of Imam Hussein as a reformist approach to serve our people and our country.
-Mr. Al-Mandalawi noted that the government was approached to inquire about the Civil Service Law to explain the reasons for the delay in sending the draft to the House of Representatives after it was withdrawn earlier.
-First reading of the draft law amending the first law of the Martyrs Foundation Law No. 2 of 2016, submitted by the Committee of Martyrs, Victims and Political Prisoners.
-First reading of the draft law on the ratification by the Republic of Iraq of the Air Services Agreement between the Government of Iraq and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
