On (1/9/2024), the House of Representatives held its ninth session of the second legislative term of the third legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (170) Representatives, and the session included:
-First reading of the proposed law on the preservation of cultural heritage submitted by the Committee on Culture, Tourism, Antiquities and Information.
-The Council began the first reading of the draft civil aviation law submitted by the Transport and Communications Committee.
-First reading of the draft law on the repeal of the law ratifying the Agreement on Economic Unity among the States of the League of Arab States No. 169 of 1963, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
-Postponing the second reading of the draft law amending the second law of the Supreme Commission for Hajj and Umrah No. 23 of 2005, submitted by the Awqaf and Clans Committee.
-Second reading of the draft mental health law submitted by the Health, Environment and Legal Committees.
-The interventions of a number of Representativeson the Mental Health Act focused on the need to provide health centres for psychiatric treatment, pay attention to medical personnel working in this field and increase their allocations.
