On (3/12/2022), the House of Representatives held Its fifteenth session of the second legislative term of the first legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of Muhammad Al-Halbousi, in the presence of (208) representatives, and the session included: -Vote of confidence In Mr. Bankin Abdullah Rikani as Minister of Construction, Housing, Municipalities and Public Works and Mr. Nizar Mohammed Saeed Amidi as Minister of Environment based on a request sent by the Prime Minister to complete the ministerial cabinet. -The two ministers talking and oath in front of the House of Representatives. -First reading of the draft law on the confirmation of the Agreement on Economic, Commercial, Scientific and Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of Hungary, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee. -The first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on Nuclear Safety and the Joint Convention on the Safety of Spent Fuel Management and the Safety of Radioactive Waste Management, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee. -First reading of the draft law on the confirmation of the Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investment between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee. -First reading of the draft law on the confirmation of the Agreement on the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with respect to Taxes on Income and Capital between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the State of Kuwait, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee. -First reading of the draft law on liberty of expression, assembly and peaceful demonstration submitted by the Human Rights Committee. -The Speaker of the house directed each of the Human Rights and Culture and Tourism and Antiquities Committees to deliberate on the draft law on liberty of expression, assembly and peaceful demonstration. Then it was decided to adjourn the session to next Monday |
