On (27/3/2023), the House of Representatives held its sixteenth session of the first legislative term of the second legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of Muhammad Al-Halbousi, in the presence of (218), and the session included:
- Voting on the Third Amendment Law to the Elections of the House of Representatives , Governorate Councils and Districts Law No. (12) of 2018
- The amendment of the law aims to implement the decisions of the Federal Court No. (155 / federal / 2019 and its units 157, 160, 161, 162, 167, 168, 171/2019, 5 / federal 2021, 159 / federal / 2021, 43 / federal 2021 and 117 / federal 2019, 87 and its units 111 and 112 / federal 2019, 103 / federal 2021, 144 / federal 2021) and for the purpose of holding free, fair and fair elections for the Iraqi Council of Representatives and provincial councils that are not organized in a region and upgrading them and the participation of all segments of society and ensuring a fair distribution of seats among the competing lists.
- Representative Muhammad Al-Sayhoud read a statement on behalf of the Parliamentary Endowments and Tribes Committee in which he condemned the dramatic work called (Al-Kasir) presented by the satellite channel (UTV), pointing out that the work offends the values and morals of the honorable clan, denouncing the deliberate targeting of authentic Arab values, recalling in the statement the positions of the honorable Iraqi tribes throughout history, during which they proved that they are the bulwarks since the twentieth revolution to the popular mobilization and tribal are still offering their lives and blood in defense of sovereignty, the state and law.
