On (2/4/2023), the House of Representatives held its seventeenth session of the first legislative term of the second legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle under the chairmanship of Mohsen Al-Mandalawi in the presence of (170) and the session included:
-Mr. Al-Mandalawi considered the referral of the draft federal budget law to the Finance Committee for study in preparation for inclusion on the agenda of the House.
-Voting on the draft law on the management of genetic resources submitted by the Committee on Agriculture, Water and Marshes.
-First reading of the draft law on the establishment of Halabja Governorate in the Republic of Iraq, submitted by the Committee of Regions and Governorates Not Organized in a Region.
-Second reading of the draft law on statistics and geographic information systems submitted by the Strategic Planning and Federal Service Committee.
-The interventions of the ladies and gentlemen of Representatives focused on calling for the reconsideration of the articles of the draft law related to the staffing of special grades, merging departments with similar tasks, calling for benefiting from the data of the national card project in implementing the provisions of the law, and demanding not to expand the establishment of additional bodies that bear the state significant financial consequences
