On (2/5/2023), the House of Representatives held its twenty-second session of the first legislative term of the second legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle, headed by Muhammad Al-Halbousi, in the presence of (208), and the session included:
- Voting on the amendment draft law Order No. (15) of 2004 on the ownership of residential plots for employees of the Midland Refineries Company / Daura (public company) submitted by the Oil, Gas and Natural Resources Committee.
- Postponing the first reading of the first amendment draft law on the Yazidi Women Survivors Law No. (8) of 2021, submitted by the committees of martyrs, victims, political prisoners, women, family, childhood and human rights, to be included on the agenda of the next session.
- Second reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the statute of the Islamic Organization for Food Security, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
- The interventions of the ladies and gentlemen representatives focused on demanding to know the amount of Iraq's financial participation in the Islamic Organization, with reservations about the mechanisms of the organization's work and programs, and to know the economic feasibility of joining the organization and study it thoroughly.

- The Speaker of the House announced receiving a parliamentary request for more than 100 representatives to interrogate Mr. Ibrahim Namis Al-Jubouri, Minister of Education, pointing to the referral the request to the Audit Committee to follow up its procedures from the formal and substantive aspects.
