On (15/8/2023), the House of Representatives held its tenth session of the second legislative term of the second legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle, headed by Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, in the presence of (171) representatives, and the session included:
-Voting on the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the 1997 Protocol amending the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships of 1973 as amended by the 1978 Protocol related thereto submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee
-Representative Mohammed Khalil read a statement commemorating the tragedy of the village of Kojo in Sinjar district in 2014, which killed hundreds of citizens, men and women, condemning these crimes, which fall within the genocide against the Yazidi component at the hands of ISIS terrorist gangs and the resulting mass graves, demanding justice for the Yazidi component, compensating them financially and morally, returning the displaced to their original areas of residence, building the village of Kojo, and prosecuting the criminals involved in committing the tragedy.
